Seasonal Tips

Another month of winter and we’ll be celebrating the return of spring! The cold winds are still blowing so here are a few more safety tips:

• Salt and sand on the road may be your safety, but can be damaging to your car.   Keep your car clean during the winter months.
• When the roads are wet…slow down, accidents can be related to excessive speed during bad weather conditions.
• A four- wheel drive and all wheel drive vehicle have a distinct advantage over 2-wheel drive vehicles in snow,  but not on ice; slow down and drive with caution.
• While warming your engine in the morning, don’t rev up the engine to get the heat going faster. Revving the engine on a cold morning can cause engine damage.. Let the engine idle on its own, the oil takes a few minutes to warm up.
• Don’t warm up your car in your garage, even if the garage door is open. Harmful fumes can make its way into your home. Pull the car out of the garage, close the door and warm it up outside.
• Check your windshield washer fluid and wiper blades again. You can always stop by Osceola Garage, we will be happy to refill the washer fluid and inspect your wiper blades for FREE!!!
