Hudson Valley Labor Day Events Calendar.

Labor Day symbolizes the unofficial end of The American Workersummer, and there are lots of local events this weekend to help you end the season with a bang.  In 1884 New York City selected the first Monday in September as the “Workingmen’s Holiday”.   And in 1885 Labor Day was celebrated in industrial centers of the country.

The vital force of the American laborer help make this nation the greatest economic and free democratic power of the world.  We have so much to be grateful for, please take a moment this weekend to pay tribute to the resilient strength and leadership — the American worker.

Of the people, by the people, for the people.

Let us never forget the true meaning of the Fourth of July and what it means for our amazing country and the freedom we are afforded here in America.

Land that I love.In celebration of our independence it is nice to be able to share some inspiring quotes to help to remember and rekindle our patriotism.  Please share these quotes with your family and friends and celebrate our independence:

“Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.” – Benjamin Franklin

“The greatest lesson we can learn from the past is that freedom is at the core of every successful nation” – Anonymous

“Democracy is the government of the people, by the people, for the people” – Abraham Lincoln
