Don’t Ignore your Vehicle Safety Recalls

Toyota and General Motors have been making headlines lately for ignoring serious safety issues and not notifying the public.  Toyota’s recall issue is with the acceleration problem from faulty gas pedals, and GM with their ignition switch problems, which led to 12 deaths and many accidents.  Toyota was fined an uncontested 16.4 million dollars.   The full outcome of GM’s problem is not yet known.  In spite of these two situations, safety recalls are issued from all car makers each year.  Many are ignored by car owners, many are overlooked.

Please take these recalls seriously.  Your safety and the safety of others on the road is most important.  If you want to find out if there are any recalls for your car click here: Safecar.gov
