Challenges of Driving with Bad Tires
As we head into the fall and winter months, we want to insure that your car is in proper running condition. Now is the perfect time to also inspect your tires. Driving in the months ahead can be very challenging, and your tires are perhaps the most important item on your car, in terms of safety. We at Osceola Garage offer some tips to ensure that your tires are in proper running condition.
- Tire pressure is the number one cause of premature tire wear. Your tires
should be checked at least once a month and adjusted to the correct pressure.
- Temperature differences can affect tire pressure. Colder weather will cause pressure to drop, while extreme hot weather will cause the pressure in your tires to rise.
- When checking and adjusting tire pressure please check your owner’s manual or the label found on the door pillar at the driver’s door. Correct tire pressure will extend the life of your tires, maintain ride performance and handling. A good quality gauge can be purchased at your local auto parts supplier or professional auto service center.
