The NBA All-Star Game itself will take place on Sunday, Feb. 15.

NBA All-Star History in Los Angeles

This will be the seventh NBA All-Star held in the Los Angeles area, with previous events taking place in 2018, 2011, 2004, 1983, 1972, and 1963. Each of these events showcased extraordinary performances by some of the greatest players in NBA history. The most recent NBA All-Star Game held in Los Angeles in 2018 featured a thrilling comeback by Team LeBron, who rallied from a 13-point deficit to defeat Team Stephen. The game also marked the first time the All-Star Game did not feature a matchup between the Eastern and Western Conference.

NBA All-Star 2026 will commemorate the 15th anniversary of the 2011 midseason celebration in Los Angeles. The event was particularly memorable for Clippers player Blake Griffin, who played on the winning teams in both the All-Star Game and the Rising Stars game, and was crowned the Slam Dunk champion. The Lakers’ Kobe Bryant also made history that year, earning his fourth NBA All-Star Game MVP Award.
