The process of finalizing the team will take place over the next few months, and national team activities will commence soon.

The 2024 USA Men’s National Team will be under the guidance of head coach Steve Kerr from the Golden State Warriors. Assisting him are Mark Few from Gonzaga University, Tyronn Lue from the L.A. This quartet previously coached the 2023 USA Basketball Men’s National Team, which secured a fourth-place finish at the 2023 FIBA Men’s World Cup in Manila. Steve Kerr himself is a 2020 Olympic gold medalist, having served as an assistant coach to Gregg Popovich in Tokyo.

In addition to the player pool announcement, USA Basketball revealed that the 2024 USA Men’s National Team will host Canada at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas as part of the USA Basketball Showcase. This exhibition game will take place on July 10, 7:30 p.m. PT/10:30 p.m. ET, and will be broadcast live on FS1.
