The NBA is proud to present the 10 nominees for the 2020-21 Seasonlong NBA Cares Community Assist Award, presented by Kaiser Permanente. These players have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to their communities, making a positive impact beyond the basketball court.

Meet the Nominees

DeAndre’ Bembry

Benefiting Charity: AP World

DeAndre’ Bembry, from the Toronto Raptors, has been dedicated to philanthropy since his early days in the NBA. He founded AP World in memory of his late brother, Adrien, with the mission of creating safer communities and providing resources for families dealing with grief. Bembry has undertaken various initiatives throughout the year, including providing Thanksgiving meals for families, donating brand new coats to children in need, and distributing new shoes to youths. His commitment to gun violence prevention and support for other families facing grief is inspiring.

Devin Booker

Benefiting Charity: Phoenix Suns Charities
