Missouri State basketball is gearing up — The Basketball Movement

The basketball season in Missouri is just around the corner, and fans are getting excited. Missouri State University’s men’s and women’s basketball teams recently held open practice sessions with intrasquad scrimmages, a tradition during the football homecoming weekend. This event served as a reminder that college hoops are on the horizon, whether you’re a fan of local teams like Drury and Evangel or national powerhouses like Duke and Kentucky.

The scrimmages attracted a large number of fans, who took a break from other homecoming activities to support their favorite players. The players performed well, and the coaches had encouraging words for the attendees.

Missouri State men’s team expectations

In the preseason poll, the Missouri State men’s team was projected to finish 8th in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC). However, Coach Dana Ford believes that their hard work will propel them beyond this prediction. You can find the men’s team schedule on the official Missouri State Bears website.

On the other hand, the Lady Bears have higher expectations. They were selected to finish 3rd overall in the MVC preseason poll. For the women’s team schedule, check out the official Missouri State Bears website.
